Barbara Glickstein, RN, a public health nurse and producer of the radio program “Heathstyles,” will describe how nurses can help combat human trafficking in our society. Attendees at NYSNA's 2007 Convention were captivated by Glickstein’s knowledge of the hidden world of modern-day human bondage.

NYSNA Political Action Committee Dinner (Ticketed event; cost: $75)

New York state government has undergone some major changes this year. It started with the unexpected ascendency of David Paterson to the governor’s office and may end with a change in party leadership in the New York State Senate. What impact will the new administration have on nursing’s legislative priorities? Will there be a new political landscape in Albany? Hear from a Capitol insider on these and other issues. Proceeds will benefit the NYSNA Political Action Committee. Please note: you must purchase a ticket for this event. Please indicate your meal preference on the registration form.
