New Jersey State Nurses Association

The New Jersey State Nurses Association has been representing nurses since the 70's when the law was changed to permit hospital employees to strike. NYSNA is now our bargaining agent and is the only union in the metropolitan area that can deal with the complicated needs of the registered nurses--- including staffing issues that are patient centered. All other unions are at a loss to understand the practice concerns that a nurse faces every day.

SEIU will never have the expertise to understand and obtain reforms in health care that allow registered nurses to provide quality care to their patients.

SEIU will dummy down the needs of the RN and completely ignore the patient in the equation.

SEIU wants to be a mega union more than it wants to create a workplace for nurses to provide quality care.

Only NYSNA can be relied upon to bargain for nurses, patients and quality care.

NYSNA is the brain trust for the registered nurse in the union movement.
