NYSNA Executive Director retires

Lola Fehr, executive director of the New York State Nurses Association, has announced her retirement, effective January, 2007. A head of the Colorado Nurses Association and the National Association of Operating Room Nurses, she became the top executive at NYSNA in October 2003.

NYSNA President Verlia Brown thanked Fehr for her years of service and wished her well in retirement.

The NYSNA Board of Directors has appointed Tina Gerardi as interim executive director and will begin a search process early in the new year. Gerardi has served as deputy executive director since 1999.
